Call for MNS/FENS Travel grants Extended!
New Deadline January 31st, 2026. The Mediterranean Neuroscience Society offers support of €1000 to doctoral and postdoctoral students, members of the Society, wishing to participate in the FENS Forum (https://fensforum.org) which will take place in July 2026 in Barcelona.
Criteria:
- Be a member of MNS, that have paid their dues for 2026,
- Be a PhD student or a post-doc,
- Present a communication as first author at FENS Forum,
- Originate from the Mediterranean area and have an affiliation at a Mediterranean institution. Three awardees will be selected based on the quality of their CV and submitted abstracts, as well as the alignment of their profile with the award’s diversity and inclusion goals (e.g. special attention will be given to applicants from the southern Mediterranean).
Document to be submitted:
- CV (2 pages maximum)
- A copy of the abstract that will be submitted to FENS Forum, including the name and the signature of the head of the laboratory or research team
Please note that:
- The travel grant will be paid by bank transfer after the FENS Forum 2026.
- If the awardee does not personally come to the Forum (illness, not obtaining a visa, etc.), the travel grant will not be awarded and cannot be transferred to another person, even if they are presenting the same abstract. We recommend booking refundable travel and accommodation, or travel insurance.
- This fellowship cannot be cumulated with another fellowship from a different Society.
